The word “doula” comes from the Ancient Greek word meaning, “A woman who serves,” and is now used to refer to a trained and experienced professional who provides continuous physical, informational and emotional support to the person giving birth and their support team before, during and after labour and delivery.
I believe the best way to empower a person in their birth journey is to provide them with important information so that they may make the best decisions for themselves, especially when considering the many options when it comes to the pregnancy and birth experience.
My goal is to provide the tools for an empowered pregnancy, delivery and postpartum experience.
